URA FC will be hoping to bounce back from Wednesday’s disappointing defeat to Kyetume when they host UPDF FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Saturday.

The Tax Collector’s title hunt suffered a huge blow as they lost to 1-0 away from home to Kyetume, a loss that saw them drop off from the top spot with 5 games to go.

On Saturday, however, they host eighth-placed UPDF FC at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje University.

Having witnessed Friday results where Express and Vipers SC, URA are aware that they need nothing less than a win or else the gap between them and those two sides would widen.

At home, URA FC has claimed 29 points from 12 games this season, with their last result as hosts being a 3-1 win over Police last Saturday.

Their opponents, on the other hand, are winless in the last five games and now sit eighth on the table with 34 points in 25 games.

UPDF’s last result away from home was a 1-0 loss to Express and are winless in the last five away games since they defeated MYDA in March. They have claimed just 10 points in 12 games on the road.

In the head to head stats, the URA FC and UPDF FC have met three times so far in the league with the tax collectors winning two compared to the Army’s one.

URA FC won the reverse fixture early on in the season courtesy of Steven Mukwala’s strike.

Moving on onto the next game of the day, SC Villa will aim to snap their winless run as they host Kyetume at the Bombo Military Playgrounds, Bombo.

The Jogoos extended their win-drought to nine games in the league when they were held to a 1-all draw by Police in Lugogo on Tuesday.

From their 12 games at home this season, Villa have claimed 20 points, although their win at home came in March when they defeated Onduparaka FC 1-0 courtesy of Nicholas Kabonge’s goal at the death.

On the other hand, Kyetume comes into this game glaring with confidence, having defeated URA 1-0 on Wednesday in Nakisunga to pick up crucial maximum points in their quest to fight relegation. They now sit third-bottom with 23 points, three below the survival line.

Kyetume’s last result away from home was a 2-0 loss to KCCA in Lugogo. They have been terrible on the road with just 5 points garnered in 12 games as they have never won away from home.

This will be the third meeting between the two sides since Kyetume were promoted last season with both sides claiming a win on their name.

In the reserve fixture, SC Villa defeated Kyetume 1-0 at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru courtesy of Salim Abdullah’s strike.

While in Jinja, it will be a battle of two relegation-threatened sides as BUL FC hosts Ondupakara at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe.

BUL sits 12th with 27 points while Ondupakara is just a place up with 28 points in 25 games.

Alex Isabirye will be seeking a first win since he was appointed to replace Arthur Kyesimira as he has been in charge of four games, drawing two and losing the others.

BUL head into the game with a  five-game winless run, losing their previous two games on the bounce and drawing the other three. Their last win came on April 20, against UPDF.

Ondupakara, have also been terrible, having won once in their last eight games. Their last win away from home was a 1-0 victory over Bright Stars in March.

In the head to head stats, BUL FC and Ondupakara have versed each other in seven matches with BUL having claimed three wins compares to one for the caterpillars while the other three have ended in stalemates.
