Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club will be hoping to tax SC Villa when they host the record UPL champions at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje on Sunday.
URA sit third on the log with 39 points garnered in 21 games while SC Villa sit at the bottom end of the log in 12 with just 22 points. The Jogoos are just two points away from the drop.
Villa’s form in the league recently hasn’t been convincing as they have only a single victory in their last nine games, a run of form that has put Greek coach Petros Koukouras in spotlight.
There are some reports that his top bosses are set to bring in a new man in case results do not improve in the near future.
But, Koukouras has not done anything wrong so far and anyone out there knew that any Coach will surely need a lot of time to make this new team of youngsters hit the ground running.
SC Villa has been exciting to watch but have lacked in most aspects especially without the ball. But the signing of Ibrahim Saddam Juma looks to have brought in more purpose in their play and their previous win and advancement in the Stanbic Uganda Cup should be a motivation in this upcoming fixture against the Tax Collectors.
But if there is any team that can widely expose their flaws at the back, it is URA FC. The Tax Collectors will be expected to take the game at Villa from the word go, in what promises to be an intriguing affair at Ndejje.
SC Villa lacks balance in the different field postions and its URA FC’s main strength. The visitors have a couple of fresh players like Derrick Ndahiro having missed a couple of previous games and after a good display at Wankulukuku, the little starlet is expected to hand his former bosses a long evening.
URA FC who notably drew with Express FC at Wankulukuku, are unbeaten in last ten games, and can go level on points with KCCA FC if they take maximum points on Sunday.
Last Meeting .
SC Villa drew with second placed KCCA FC away from home while URA FC were also away from home and drew with Express FC one all.
In the reverse fixture, the Tax Collectors drew the game 2-2 in Njeru thanks to a Viane Ssekajugo strike equalizer.
What Could This Mean.
A win for the tax collectors, will take them to 2nd with 42 points on level with KCCA FC and seven points adrift the league leaders Vipers SC.
While for SC Villa a win will lift them to 9th in place of Police FC who drew their game with the soldier boys of Gaddafi FC.
Match Fact.
SC Villa have not beaten URA FC away from home in the last six meetings.
Team News.
URA FC are without Alionzi Nafian Legason who is away with the Uganda National Team and John Alou Kokas who is away in School football engagements.
Najib Fessali and Hassan Kalega remain doubtful while the rest of the squad is in good condition.
