UPDF Football Club make a trip to Kyabazinga Stadium on Tuesday, 1st February to face BUL FC in StarTimes Uganda Premier League game.
The two sides drew the first leg game at Bombo Military grounds one-all after goals from Musa Esenu and Ivan Ahimbisibwe for their respectively side.
Alex Isabirye’s men struggled to make their mark away to Arua Hill, but it atleast managed a draw, but It has been a fair campaign to date for the Eastern Giants who have won 8, drawn six and lost only four of their 18 matches thus far to pick up 30 points.
BUL FC Head Coach Alex Isabirye spoke to the media and said “UPDF is desperate for a win but my side is ready for them and we are confident that we will be able to win the game”
“I know UPDF has been performing well this second round, they have drawn 4 games and they are desperate for the win but we are ready for them,” he added
“As I have been telling you we are trying to see that we groom a team that will win trophies next seasons so we play game by game.”
“So am sure we shall win the game and we have replacements for the injured players, am very sure we shall win the game because we are at home and the players are ready, they know what it means to win tomorrow’s game.” he concluded.
BUL has had a troublesome record away from home but their superior record at their own yard has taken them places up the log.
For UPDF FC, they have five wins, seven draws and six loses in 18 games this season. They sit 9th on the log with 22 points.
But 16 from those 22 have come from home meaning the balance of the points were the ones collected away.
The Army side haven’t been convincing in the last few games as they are currently on a 9-game winless run in the league (drawing the last four games)
