Both StarTimes Uganda Premier League games played on Sunday evening ended in Stalemates. Police held Arua Hill at Lugogo while Busoga United netted late on to deny Mbarara City maximum points at Kakyeka.
The game at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo saw the Cops and the Leopards play out to a goalless draw.
Arua Hill were the better side in the opening half as they created several chances through Richard Matovu and Sam Ssekamate but goalkeeper Tom Ikara was brilliant on the day for Police
Police’s best chances of the game came in the closing half but Juma Balinya and Muwada Mawejje failed to get the ball past Richard Anyama, the Arua Hill goalkeeper.
At the end of 90, the game ended with nothing on the scores board.
With a point, Police finishes first round in 11th position with 16 points in 15 games.
Arua Hill meanwhile finish incredibly 5th on the log with 25 points.
In the game in Mbarara, Ronald Kasamba netted in the 83rd minute for Busoga United as they drew 1-1 with Mbarara City at the Kakyeka Stadium.
Henry Kitegenyi had put Mbarara City ahead in the first half.
Mbarara finishes first round in 12th position with 15 points in as many games while Busoga United remains second bottom with 11 points in 14 games.
