Bottom-placed Tooro United played out to a 2-all stalemate with Express FC in a StarTimes Uganda Premier league game played at Betway Muteesa II Stadium in Wakulukuku.

Tooro United were on course to secure a victory, but George Ssenkaaba netted a late equaliser to ensure the game ended with scores tied.

Tooro United goals came from Musa Doca and Hussein Mwanje.

In an almost cagey game, the game sprang into life after the break as Senkaaba broke the deadlock with a well taken strike.

After conceding that goal, Tooro United started attacking the Express end and got a reward for their efforts in the 66 minute after Isa Lumu fouled Kenneth Madira in the box. Mwanje stepped up and levelled parity for the Fort Portal side.

Tooro United went ahead in the 78th minute through Doca’s header, but their celebrations were short-lived as Senkaaba levelled maters a minute later with an exquisite strike.

The Red Eagles though that they had found a winner later on but Joseph Akandanwaho’s strike was ruled out for offside by Referee Muzamiru Waiswa.

2-all, the game ended and Express move to 29 points, 7 below leaders Vipers SC.

Tooro United continue their battle to avoid relegation as they are still bottom with 8 points, six below the relegation line.
