Mbarara City will host UPDF at the Kakyeka Stadium as they set their sights on their sixth victory of this 2021/2022 StarTimes Uganda Premier League football campaign.

The game, will be played this Sunday, May 8 and will be a first home game in their last three for Sadiq Sempigi’s side that has grinded out only two wins in their last seventeen games.

The Ankole lions who have been in poor form almost the whole season look to explore their little chance of survival hope to do that against the Army side who are in a safe place for next season.

UPDF FC on the other hand have managed two wins in their three League games against Tooro United FC and Busoga United

The two sides have met only four times but among those, the Army side have registered three wins while Mbarara City have won the other. There has never been a draw in this fixture.

Mbarara City lay second from the bottom in the relegation zone with 22 points in 27 games while UPDF lay in 9th with 33 points in 27 games played.

Last Result.

Mbarara City FC lost their last game away in Arua against Arua Hill while UPDF lost theirs at home to URA courtesy of a Cromwel Rwothomio goal.

What would a win mean.

A win for Mbarara City would take them to 25 points but still stay in 15th while a win for UPDF FC would take them up to 7th in place of Wakiso Giants but better on goal difference.
