Nothing could separate both Onduparaka FC and Gaddafi FC in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played on Tuesday in Arua.

The two sides played out to a goalless stalemate at the AbaBet Greenlight Stadium.

Onduparaka started off the game the brightest and had the first attempt on target in the 13th minute, but Mohammad Shaban’s acrobatic effort was saved by goalkeeper Paul Mujampani.

Moments later Denis Ojara had a chance to put the caterpillars ahead but he put his screaming effort just wide.

With their first attempt at goal, the visitors Gaddafi rattled the crossbar with Michael Kagiri, the onduparaka stunned by the effort.

The Caterpillars also rattled the crossbar just before the break with Mujampani parrying Patrick Sserujongi’s free kick onto the crossbar and out of play.

Despite an entertaining opening half, the game went into the break with no scores on the scoreboard.

Having played on the back foot for most of the opening half, Gaddafi head coach Peter Onen made a change at the start of the second, bringing on Ronald Bithum for Frank Mulimi.

The second half was short of chances but Gaddafi had a few half chances they failed to convert. Both goalkeepers weren’t tasted at all in the closing half.

With a point, Onduparaka move to 18 points in 19 games, just two above the relegation zone while Gaddafi move to 25 points in 19 games.
