Midfielder Brian Nkuubi came off the bench on Saturday evening to net the winner as Uganda Revenue Authority defeated Gadaffi FC 2-1 at the Arena of visions, Ndejje.

The former KCCA midfielder came on in the 85th minute and with the game heading to a stalemate, he struck the winner in the 93rd minute.

Forward Ibrahim Dada gave URA the lead early in the second half but Bate Seif cancelled out that lead for Gaddafi.

The Tax collectors had limited chances but failed on two occasions to score before half time as Shafik Kagimu saw his effort cleared for a corner before he sent his effort onto the cross bar.

Gaddafi was at most times at the receiving end in the opening half as they struggled to create enough chances upfront.

At the start of the second half, URA introduced on Dada Ibrahim for Moses Sseruyidde, and it never took the forward much time to break the deadlock for the Tax Collectors as he headed in home off a well delivered Vianne Ssekajugo cross from Vianne Ssekajugo.

Despite going a goal down, Gaddafi remained on their toes as they attacked more and more in search for the equalizer, and Bate, who was making his debut for the club levelled matters in the 66th minute with a beautiful volley.

URA will have to thank goalkeeper Nathian Alionzi to have kept scores tied in the 90 minutes as he pulled off two brilliant saves to deny the Visitors.

With the game headed for a draw, Brian Nkuubi, who came on Ivan Sserubiri strike a winner at almost the end of extra-time to ensure that his side bagged all the three important points on the day.

This victory assures URA the third place on the log with now 31 points in 17 games.

Well for the men from Jinja, they suffer their sixthth loss of the season and remain 8th with 21 points.

URA will be away to Wakiso Giants in their fixture on Tuesday while Gaddafi host Mbarara City.
