Left winger Martin Kizza was a marvel to watch on Saturday evening as his side, Express FC completed a league double over URA after their 3-1 victory over the tax collectors at the Betway Muteesa II Stadium, Wakulukuku.
Kizza, who was unveiled as a Red Eagle on Friday was involved in all three of Express goals on Sunday evening.
It never took long for Kizza to affect the game as his picked out Charles Musige who in turn sweeped in a wonderful delivery for Geodfrey Lwesibawa to net the first inside the first 10 minutes.
Moments later, it was two for Express after Eric Kambaale headed in following an exquisite freekick delivery by Kizza.
With eight minutes to the break, Kizza was at the heart of things again after he was fouled in the forbidden area by Benjamin Nyakoojo. Kambaale stepped up and completed his brace from the spot.
But before the goal, the game witnessed its first caution when Murushid Juuko was yellow carded for the referee
Juuko was sent off in the 54th minute for a second bookable offence.
Four minutes after the red card, URA got their first of game after top scorer Steven Mukwala converted from the spot after referee Ali Sabira pointed to the penalised Kambale for a handball in the forbidden area.
But that goal wasnt enough as Wasswa Bbosa’s side held onto their lead to secure a deserved victory over the tax collectors
With the win, Express have now garnered 35 points in 16 and have also been closed the gap on Log leaders Vipers and URA, who are tied on 36 points.
