Winger Rashid Kawawa netted a hat-trick as Arua Hill SC claimed an emphatic 4-2 victory over Wakiso Giants at the Barifa Stadium, Arua on Wednesday.

Livingstone Mbabazi’s leopards fired three goals before the visitors knew what had hit them, and they were incapable of finding a response.
Arua Hill started the game on the brighter side and found their first goal just in the 3rd minute when Kawawa got his first following good work by Alfred Leku and Samuel Ssekamate in the build up.
Two minutes afterward, Leku turned from creating a goal to scoring one after Emmanuel Emukule gift. Emukule failed to clear Richard Matovu, leaving Leku to run onto the ball and net into an empty net to double the Kongolo’s lead.
It was already three for Arua Hill by the 14th minute with Kawawa getting his second following a great run from the left to beat Emukule with a nice strike.
Just before the break, Kawawa completed his hat-trick, slotting into the back of the net following Gaddafi Wahab’s freekick.
With the hosts having been dominant in the opening half, the game went into the break 4-0.
Arua Hill had a chance to make it five few minutes into the second half, but this time Emukule did brilliant to save Ssekamate’s shot.
Substitute Titus Ssematimba who had replaced Lawrence Bukenya earlier on, pulled a goal back for the purple sharks with a wonderful header off Moses Aliro’s freekick just after the hour mark.
With three left on the clock, Sam Ssenyonjo puller another goal back for Wakiso Giants after receiving a ball from Sharif Kimbowa to curler into the back of the net.
But before that goal, Ssenyonjo fired a brilliant chance as he headed wide a Grant Matsiko cross.
Arua Hill nearly got their fifth before the final whistle but Emukule made a brilliant save to deny Ibrahim Tembo from a freekick.
With the victory, Arua Hill move to 5th position on the log with 32 points after 19 games.
