Youngster and academy graduate Ibrahim Juma scored the winner for KCCA on his first full home debut as the Kasasiro Boys overcame Soltilo Bright Stars at MTN Omondi Stadium on Tuesday.

Juma’s goal came in the 17th minute of the game to help KCCA return to winning ways at home.

Juma, who was involved in the build-up nodded in a well-driven Rogers Mato cross.

Apart from Juma’s goal, KCCA had several chances in the opening half to go further ahead, but Sadat Anaku, Dominic Ayella and Hassan Jurua were denied by a brilliant Derrick Were in the Bright Stars goal.

Anaku also rattled the crossbar while Ayella headed well wide from close range.

But before the break, Bright Stars got a rare chance to level matters, but John Revita made a goal-line clearance to deny Derrick Ngobi, whose effort had beaten KCCA goalie Derrick Ochan.

Few minutes after the break, KCCA almost made it 2-0 but Were did brilliant to parry away Ayella’s header to a cornerkick.

Ngoobi wasted a brilliant chance to level matters for Bright Stars midway the closing half when he found at the back post, but blazed over the crossbar.

Bright Stars continued to force an equaliser in the later exchanges of the game, but that wasn’t possible as KCCA held on for the victory.

With the three points, KCCA move to 53 points and remain second on the log.

For Bright Stars, they remain 10th with 30 points
