The second round of the 2021/22 StarTimes Uganda Premier League kicked off on Saturday, and Wakiso Giants and Arua Hill took care of their respective opponents to secure vital maximum points.
Wakiso Giants defeated Gaddafi FC 4-1 in the lunch time opener at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.
Former KCCA FC wingback Moses Aliro netted a brace while Sharif Kimbowa and Sam Ssenyonjo added one each for the purple sharks. Alex Kitata got Gaddafi’s consolation.
Aliro netted his first in the 12 minute after Goalkeeper Ronald Mutebi parried Kimbowa’s back into his path to slot in from close range.
He got his second just after the half-hour mark with a well taken finish following Simon Namwanja’s pass.
Before the break, Aliro was involved when Kimbowa got on the scoreline to make it 3-0 for Wakiso Giants.
Senyonjo came from the bench to replace Kimbowa and within a few minutes, he got closed the scoreline for the purple sharks with a neaty finish off Aliro’s cross.

Heading off to the game at the Barifa Stadium in Arua, Arua Hill SC overcame Police FC 2-0 courtesy of first half goals from Rashid Kawawa and Stephen Kabuye.
Kawawa broke the deadlock for the Leopards in the 24th minute with an acrobatic attempt before Kabuye slotted the ball past goalkeeper Tom Ikara later on in the opening half.
Police looked rusty throughout the game as they struggled to break the Leopards blocks and create any meaningful chance at goal.
Victory takes Arua Hill to fourth position on the log with 28 points. Police stay 10th with 16 points.
Action will resume on Sunday with a game at the Bombo Military Stadium as UPDF takes on SC Villa.
