Stanbic Uganda Cup: SC Villa smoothly sail past Seeta United into Round of 32

Sports Club SC Villa have progressed to the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 32 stage after comfortably cruising 0-3 past Seeta United on Thursday at the Seeta Primary COU grounds.

All three goals came before the hour mark, Aslam Ssemakula breaking the dredlock as early as 4th minute only to climax First half 1-0.

Nine minutes after restart, Hassan Mubiru was fouled after a good drive into the box only for Jonah kakande to step up and put away the penalty.

Six minutes later, Arnold Odong sealed the victory with a perfect header off Mubiru’s corner kick.

The Jogoos managed to thrive on thus traveling back home with a clean sheet under  Norman Angufindru’s belt.

SC Villa joins a host of Uganda Premier League teams that await Round of 32 opponents like; holders Kitara FC, runners up NEC FC, Mbarara City, Police FC, Maroons, UPDF, Lugazi, Wakiso Giants, Vipers SC, Bright Stars and URA FC

Others new teams that have advanced are Simba (UWA), CATDA, Bushenyi Veterans, Blacks Power and Pakwach Young Stars.

Uganda Cup action will continue on Friday, January 24, when  KCCA FC visit non-league side 403 Brigade at St. Daniel Comboni Secondary School in Napak.
