Vipers SC secured their spot in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 with a commanding 2-0 victory over Mbarara City at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Goals from Yunus Sentamu and Allan Okello ensured the Venoms advanced in style.
Sentamu opened the scoring with a well-placed header from a Hillary Mukundane assist before Okello sealed the win with a brilliant free-kick in the 82nd minute.
Mbarara City’s night worsened when Edward Namasa was sent off after receiving a second yellow card for fouling Okello.
This result follows Vipers’ identical 2-0 triumph over KCCA in the league, where both Okello and Sentamu also found the net.
With Vipers leading the Uganda Premier League, they remain firmly on track for a domestic double.
