Lugazi Football Club beat Mayuge United 0-2 to book a place in the 51st edition Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 32 on Wednesday evening.
This was all played out at the Wembley playground in Mayuge thanks to two (2) first half goals by Sam Ssemugugu and Abdul Kalanzi.
Ssemugugu broke the deadlock just 24 minutes into the game before Kalanzi got the second goal seven after the Half hour mark.
Other games on the day saw Wakiso Giants edge Mbarara Football Club 1-0 win at Kakyeka with Blanchar Mulamba scoring the Purple Sharks only goal.
For Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club, they went on to draw 1-1 after Substitute Denis Kisiriko put the visitors ahead with a thumping kick into the roof to open his account.
However Kalongo United leveled matters in the dying minutes only to head in for penalty shootouts where URA won 2-1.
Therefore Lugazi, Wakiso Giants and URA joined the other clubs at the round of 32 stage like Soltilo Bright Stars, Gaddafi, Kitara, NEC, Express, BUL, Vipers and Packwach Young Stars.
The winner of the Stanbic Uganda Cup qualifies to represent the country at the CAF Confederation Cup.
Stanbic Uganda Cup action will resume on Thursday January 16 when Bushenyi Veterans FC host Onduparaka at the Bushenyi Main Grounds.
