Uganda Premier League side KCCA progressed to the Round of 32 after beating non-league side 403 Brigade in Napak

KCCA’s two goals were scored by forward Usama Arafat before half time, the first coming 20 minutes into the game.

The forward curled the ball beautifully to open the season’s account after a good assist from Derrick Nsibambi.

Seven minutes later, Usama registered his second with a sweet left hit from the edge of the box off a great James Mubezi assist thus ending the half time 0-2.

In the second half, the dominant Visitors continued to string attacks together to clinch the third with substitute Yian Gatbel’s strike rattling the woodwork three minutes the hour mark.

With immense pressure exerted on the hosts, KCCA managed to secure their third through striker Derrick Nsibambi who found the back of the net, but goal was later ruled out for offside.

However in this game a couple of youngsters like Brian Ijara and Sammy Ssebaduka managed to get some minutes in the tank.

In the other games on the day, FUFA Big League sides Booma FC, Ntugasaze FC, Arua Hill SC and Busoga United FC lost their respective round of 64 Uganda Cup games

Rwenzori Lions throughout an Arafat Baluku brace edged Busoga United 2-1, the visitors consolation game coming in from Nicholas Mutenza.

For Mabira TC, Siraje Amuza’s penalty took them past Mityana based Ntugasaze FC 1-0.
