The Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64 matches continued on Monday evening with four fixtures.
In those four, Soltilo Bright Stars, Maroons FC ad Ateker FC all needed spotkicks to progress to the next round while UPDF oozed past Soroti FC.
Bright Stars needed a late Joseph Janjali header to level matters 1-all at the end of the normal time.
Isa Bugembe, Janjali, Jimmy Nvule, Nelson Ssekatuka, Methodius Junju all converted their kicks to ensure the Stars won 7-6 in penalties.
Soroti district had two games on the day and the biggest winners were UPDF FC who convincingly defeated Soroti FC 3-0.
Yasin Sabir, Taban Phillip and Mugisha Rogers were on target for UPDF in the convincing win.
The other game in Soroti ended in spotkicks with Ateker FC edging Lugazi Municipal FC 4-2 after a 1-all stalemate after full-time.
In Jinja, FUFA Big league side, Maroons FC came from behind to force a 1-1 draw against Jinja North FC sending the tie into penalties which Maroons won 4-2.
Round of 64 action will resume on Tuesday with two fixtures, Bujumbura United will host Paidha Black Angels in Hoima while Iganga Young will host Calvary FC in Iganga.
