Benson Muhindo was on target early on in the game as SC Villa beat Onduparaka at the Greenlight Stadium, Arua.

Muhindo’s goal that arrived in the 10th minute sent the Jogoos to the quarter-final of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

After that goal, Villa was the defensive end of the game but held on for the victory and qualify to the next stage.

Martin Ssenkoto was brilliant to save Muhammad Shaban’s effort midway the opening half before Gabriel Matata rattled the crossbar moments later

There was no reasonable goalscoring attempt in the second half despite Onduparaka dominating most of the proceedings.

At the end of 90, Villa overcame Onduparaka by a goal to nil and now join Vipers, Wakiso Giants, BUL FC, Wakiso Giants, Maroons FC, Mbarara City and Booma FC in the quarters.

Vipers are the defending champions, having defeated BUL FC in the final last year.
