Uganda’s Hope’s for a 4th continental title have been shattered by SouthAfrica who defeated the she Cranes 65:50 in the finals of this year’s Netball Africa Cup today in Namibia’s coastal city of Swakopmund.
It’s was an Mzansi show as the SouthAfrican finished all four quarters in the lead, 16:20, 30:24 and a huge 50:33 third quarter lead to stir the celebrations.
This was a repeat of the 2021 finals which also ended in defeat for she Cranes, the win now puts South Africa on 4titles, the most by any country.
Uganda started the tournament with a loss to Zimbabwe in the opener before going on a straight 3 game winning run to set themselves up for the final defeating Malawi in the semis the the other two group stage wins against Eswatini and hosts Namibia.
