As Soroti Cricket Academy continues to celebrate a decade of excellence, the city is poised to make history with its first-ever women’s Test match.

Over the next three days, the picturesque Soroti City Cricket Oval, located just opposite Soroti Hotel, will be the venue for a landmark event in the world of women’s cricket.

This groundbreaking match will feature two local teams: Soroti City West Cricket Club and Soroti City East Cricket Club.

The teams are a blend of Soroti Cricket Academy (SCA) alumni and current academy trainees, showcasing the development and success of the academy’s programs over the years.

Felix Musana, Chairman and Founder of Soroti Cricket Academy, shared his excitement:

“About 99% of our success has been driven by the incredible efforts of our ladies, whose victories have added so much shine to our trophy cabinet.

Test cricket is the purest form of the game, and it is only fitting that our girls take to the field in this format for the first time.”

As the city prepares to host this historic event, anticipation is high, and the local cricket community is eager to see the women don the iconic whites and showcase their talents on this grand stage.
