The second Women’s Kabaddi World Cup will be held in Bangladesh from November 15-25. The tournament will take place at the Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka returning after a 13 years gap.
This is the third time the event has been rescheduled or relocated in the past five months. It was originally slated to be held in Bihar in June, before being shifted to Hyderabad’s Gachibowli Indoor Stadium from August 3 to 10. However, it was later ‘indefinitely postponed’ to a date after the conclusion of the ongoing Pro Kabaddi League.
The Uganda national women’s Kabaddi Team, ” The She Gladiators” has put up an intensive training to see a magnificent performance at the 2nd Women’s World Cup as the African Champions.

The team will be led by Olivia Nalubega (Captain) and Anet Kirembe (Vice Captain), Jovita Lubango, Jemimmah Zalwango, Eunice Awori, Rose Nankumba, Sharifah Nanono, Nahia Nalwoga, Erina Nattabi, , Shirat Nakayongo, Grace Ojil, Dorothy Nagawa, and Sarah Kisaakye. And their coaches Mr. Nsabambi John and Mr. Desire Ephraim
According to sources, the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) has turned to India’s neighbour to finally get the tournament going. Argentina, Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, Germany, the Netherlands, Iran, Japan, Kenya, Nepal, Thailand, Uganda, Zanzibar, Poland and India are the 14 countries expected to compete for the title.
