The She Cranes suffered a second consecutive defeat at the 2025 Vitality Netball Nations Cup, falling 60-45 to Malawi on Sunday in Nottingham, England.
After a tough 75-40 loss to South Africa in their opener, Uganda struggled to match the pace and organization of the Malawi Queens.
Despite a strong start, Uganda couldn’t keep up with Malawi’s sharp attacking and solid defensive play.
By halftime, Malawi had built a comfortable lead, which they maintained throughout the game.
With only one match remaining, Uganda faces a challenging encounter against world No. 4-ranked England on February 8, hoping to avoid finishing the tournament winless.
While their two losses highlight areas for improvement, the She Cranes have shown promising moments, particularly in their attacking transitions.
A strong performance against England could boost their confidence and offer valuable experience on the international stage.
