October 12, 2025, brought another action-packed day in the SCA 50 Overs Ladies League at Soroti Cricket Academy.

Under clear skies at the Madera Oval, Senior Quarters Cricket Club extended their unbeaten run with a clinical performance against Pamba CC.

Batting first, they posted a respectable 141 runs in 44.5 overs.

The innings was anchored by Malisa Ariokot, whose composed 44 steadied the ship after early wickets tumbled

Esther Iloku and Juliet Ajemo added crucial runs, keeping the scoreboard ticking.

In reply, Pamba struggled to build partnerships and were eventually bowled out for just 73 runs in 28.5 overs.

Ariokot wasn’t done yet—she returned with the ball to pick up 2 wickets for 33, while Juliet Ajemo and Ritah Alio took timely breakthroughs.

The 68-run win not only kept Senior Quarters unbeaten but also showcased their growing dominance and balance across departments.

Over at City Oval, Nakatunya CC looked determined to register their first win, setting 128 runs in 33.2 overs. Josephine Icumar once again stood tall with the bat, scoring a fluent 43, and remains the league’s top run-scorer.

But consistent wickets hampered momentum. Campswahili CC responded with grit, chasing down the target in 34.3 overs with 3 wickets in hand.

Naume Jane Amongin remained unbeaten on 41, guiding her side home with calm assurance, while Joan Ilora and Mary Nabuma chipped in valuable runs.

Nakatunya’s wait for a win continues, now the only team yet to register points.

Meanwhile, Campswahili climbed to joint second, and Pamba finally got off the mark with one win and one loss.

Sarah Akiteng leads the wicket charts with five dismissals, topping the performance rankings so far.

At the same day, SCA’s friends from the UK had contributed to their cause by sending Oxford mathematical sets.

They said the sets were donated by one of their supporters in the UK and were given to their committed young stars as a way to motivate them to excel both in cricket and academics.
