Former Liverpool and Senegal national team forward El Hadji Diouf was in the stands at the Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo today during Uganda’s 0:2 loss to Kenya at in first leg of the women’s U17 world cup.

Named CAF African player of the year twice, Diouf is one of the most elegant forwards to ever grace African football.
The 44year old landed in the country today at the invitation of Big Talent academy and it’s founder, musician Eddy Kenzo who watched the game with him and FUFA president Moses Magogo.
Diouf is most notably remembered for his performance at the 2002 FIFA world cup where he was part of the Senegalese team that defeated defending champions at the time, France on their way to the quarter finals.

Besides Liverpool, he also played for a couple of Premier League clubs including Sunderland, Bolton Wanderers, Blackburn and Leeds United.
