Sailors Master Rain-Reduced Challenge Against Mukono Development
Rain trimmed the morning fixture into a tense 12-over shootout, but the Buvuma Sailors handled the conditions with confidence and discipline.
Opener Simon Ssesazi set the tone with a commanding 39 off 25, guiding the Sailors to 65/1 before Calvin Watuwa unleashed a blistering cameo—37 off just 15 balls, including four massive sixes. Contributions from Jonathan Nyenya (17 off 27), Robert Ajuna (12 off 5), and 12 extras lifted the Sailors to an imposing 117/2.
Mukono Development’s chase got off to a rocky start at 3/1 but was revived by a solid partnership from Perry Wazombe (31 off 24) and Robert Owili (38 off 28).
At 67/2, momentum seemed to be tilting their way—until the Sailors’ bowlers tightened the screws.
Watuwa capped his brilliant all-round display with a decisive 3/14, while Ssesazi kept things tight with 1/11.
Mukono slumped from 78/3 to 94/6, eventually finishing on 98/6, falling 19 runs short.

Gladiators Deepen Titans’ Crisis With Ruthless 40-Run Victory
The afternoon clash saw the Kayunga Titans’ woes multiply as the Buikwe Gladiators combined resilience with ruthless bowling to claim a commanding win.
Buikwe’s innings began explosively with Cyrus Kakuru’s 14 off 7, but a brilliant spell from Emmanuel Okwalinga (4/15) tore through the top order, reducing the Gladiators to 19/3.
Steady rebuilding from Kasim Adam (16), Ronald Lutaaya (11), and Siraje Nsubuga (5) restored some stability.
A vital lower-order stand between Musa Majid (30 off 29) and Nsubuga Akram (15 off 9) pushed the total to 126 all out, aided by 21 extras.
The Titans’ reply began brightly at 38/0 through Brain Lwanga (21 off 14) and Fortunate Alijuna (14 off 12).
But once Ronald Lutaaya broke the stand, the innings unraveled rapidly. Lutaaya’s deadly spell of 4/22 triggered a collapse, with the Titans slipping from 75/5 to 86 all out.
Despite Pascal Murungi’s 25 off 18, the Titans’ batting once again faltered against sustained pressure.
Tight spells from Akram Nsubuga (2/7) and Kasim Adam (2/16) sealed their fate.
