Exprienced Referee Ali Sabila Retires

“FUFA has forced me to retire” was the statement put out by one the experienced referees In Ugandan Football Ali Sabila.

Saliba will not be officiating any more more games after he was dropped from the list of Uganda’s FIFA badge holders.

The list from which he was dropped has Dick Okello, Joshua Duula, William Oloya, Lucky Kasalirwe and George Olemu.

“The Federation talks a lot about IFP (Integrity, Fitness and outstanding and I am happy they have dropped me when I was at the peak of my career” he added

Reaffirming while speaking to CK sports that his decision was entirely based on the loss of his much coveted FIFA badge.

Sabila had an impressive career taking  charge of the biggest Uganda Premier league games and many on the continent.

Those on the continent include a CAF Champions league game between Sudan’s Al Hilal and FC Salaam Bor of South Sudan in 2023.
