Royal Giants High School are the inaugural Ugandan winners of the CAF African Schools Championship.
This is ater they defeated Dynamic SS 2-0 in the final played at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Tuesday evening.
Thomas Ogema netted a brace to ensure the Mityana based school emerged winners.
Those two goals mean Royal Giants will represent Uganda at the CECAFA zone tournament in December.
Royal Giants wins the Ugandan Championship, unbeaten in five games. They won all their four games in group B (Dynamic SS, St. Mary’s Boarding School-Kitende, Kibuli SS and Amus College)before overcoming Standard High School 1-0 in the semi-final.
Dynamic SS who finished second in group B with 9 points had earlier beaten Mukono Kings 2-1 in the semi-final.
In the third-place playoff, Mukono Kings defeated Standard High School to claim the bronze medals.
Thomas Ogema was voted the championship MVP while Enock Bagenda took the golden boot for finishing as the tournament top scorer with 6 goals.
