Rounders 163 all out in 41.3 overs

Kutch Tigers 165/3 in 23.5 overs

Kutchi Tigers won by 7 wickets

Rounders stumbled at Serenity Oval in Kamengo as they faced the reigning champions Kutchi Tigers in the UCA Men’s 50-over League Division One.

Riding high from back-to-back wins over Avengers and Ceylon Lions, Rounders seemed to be on the rise but were brought back down by a clinical Tigers side.

Missing their talisman Brian Masaba, Rounders won the toss and opted to bat but failed to capitalize.

After a steady start, they lost three quick wickets inside the first 10 overs, slipping to 76/3.

Steven Wabwose (44) and Irishad Suleman (35) provided brief resistance, but a disciplined bowling performance led by Rabadiya Nautam (3/25) and Ghanshyam Ashani (2/36) restricted Rounders to just 163 all out in 41.3 overs.

Kutchi Tigers chased the target with ruthless efficiency.

Nitin Jeshani was in imperious form, smashing 78 off 60 balls and getting solid support from Hasin Ashani (36).

Despite a couple of wickets from Daudi Mwesigwa and one from Siraje Nsubuga, the Tigers cruised home inside 24 overs, sealing a dominant win and gripping to the top of the Premiership table with 7 points from 4 games. Jeshani’s explosive knock earned him Player of the Match honors.

Elsewhere in Division One, Aboojo took another hit with a loss to Avengers.

Aboojo collapsed to 120 all out in 25.2 overs, with Fortunate Alijuna’s 32 off 19 the only highlight.

Avengers’ Pius Oloka dismantled the top order with three wickets before returning to score an unbeaten 21, guiding his team to the target alongside Christopher Kidega (16) and Solomon Otim (23*) in a nervy chase completed in 34.5 overs with four wickets to spare.

Oloka’s all-round display earned him Player of the Match.

In Division Two, GM Sugar dominated SKLPS by 170 runs as Pramit Harishbhai Patel starred with an unbeaten 91 in their total of 240.

SKLPS faltered under scoreboard pressure, folding for just 70 against a spinning trio of Nimeshkumar, Karan, and Hevin—each claiming three wickets.

Rain ruined the clash between St. John’s SS and Ismaili Community, while Jinja SS forfeited again, gifting Kutchi Tigers B another walkover.
