English Championship side Rotherham United have expressed interest in signing Ugandan striker Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru, according to Sunday Mirror’s Darren Witcoop.
The 27-year old is among the three players Middlesbrough boss Chris Wilder put up for sale after Middlesbrough’s pre-season friendly against Bishop Auckland.
Rotherham are preparing for life back in the English Championship after being promoted from League one last season and seek to replace talisman Michael Smith with Ikpeazu.

Ikpeazu joined Middlesbrough last summer and netted two goals in his first three championship games for the club, but he fell down the pecking order and was subsequently loaned to Cardiff City for the rest of the season.
At Cardiff, he found the back of net thrice in 13 appearance as the side finished 18th on the log.
Ikpeazu has also played for Hearts, Blackpool, Port Vale, Crewe Alexandra and Doncaster Rovers, but his most prolific spell was for Cambridge United during the 2017-18 season where he scored 14 goals in 44 games across all competitions.
He is yet to feature for the Uganda Cranes though he was summoned several time by Johnny Mckinstry.
