A few moments after winning a record third Pilsner Coach of the Month award this season, Vipers SC head coach Roberto Oliviera “Robertinho” said his objective is to emulate what he did during his first year in Rwanda.

Robertinho won three trophies in at Rwandese Primus League side Rayon Sport that included the Club’s 9th and last league title.

At Vipers, he has already guided the Venoms to two trophies ( the 2021Stanbic Uganda Cup and 2021/22 StarTimes Uganda Premier League) since he replaced Fred Kajoba and he is on course of a third as the Venoms are currently in the semis of this year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup.

“My objective when I joined Vipers last year was to win three titles like I did in Rwanda” the Brazilian said at the press conference at Kati Kati Restaurant on Thursday

“Now, I have the opportunity to emulate that as I have already two titles in 11 months which hasn’t been easy”

“I thank the president and congratulate him because he waited for me for 20days because of the Coronavirus. All these victories and achievements are his because he trusted me and created a good environment for me to create a strong winning team”

Vipers defeated Mbarara City 2-1 in the first leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup semi-final and are on course for their first double in Uganda football history.

The second leg will happen next week at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende .

Since Robertinho joined the Venoms, they have lost only two times and all these happened in the league against Arua Hill and URA respectively.
