League Top Scorer Allan Okello has come out to condone the viral comments made by Fifi Phiona Pinky, the NBS Sport journalist was quoted by her station’s official X account saying former Uganda Cranes Player David Obua is not a Cranes Legend.
“David Obua is famous and popular, but not a Uganda Cranes
Legend.” She said.
Moments later Allan Okello posted a video of him hugging Obua during a Uganda Premier league game between SC Vipers and URA FC at the time he was its head coach.
The message in his caption was clear, “Respect the King.”
Kind David has he was nicknamed in SouthAfrica during his Kaizer Chiefs days was a coach to Okello at their province of origin, Lango in the FUFA Drum.
The flamboyant forward made more than half a century of appearances in cranes colours and netted 14 times during his 58 appearances.
