Vipers SC will target returning to winning ways when the Startimes Uganda Premier League returns on Friday afternoon as the venoms travel to Luzira Prison to face Maroons FC.
The log leaders suffered their first league loss in 14 games when they narrowly lost 1-0 to KCCA FC at Startimes stadium,Lugogo on Saturday evening.
Speaking on the game today, Vipers Head coach Edward Golola rallied his players to fight hard and pick up maximum points tomorrow.
We put the past game behind us and have set a new target coming into this one. We want to play well and collect maximum points and with the return of some players we hope they will inspire the team and rally us back to winning ways.

Vipers SC will be boosted by the return of talisman Fahad Bayo and captain Halid Lwaliwa who missed the team’s last 2 league outings due to Uganda Cranes engagements.

Bobosi Byaruhanga and Karim Watambala are still sitting for their Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams and so remain out of the tie.
Second choice goalkeeper Derick Ochan is ruled out with a Fever and will be replaced by Vipers U-17 keeper Eric Kaweesi as Fabien Mutombora’s deputy.
For the hosts, they will miss the services of current league topscorer Steven Mukwala who is cap tied to play against his parent club.
Vipers SC lead the standings with 33 points in 14 games while Maroons FC sits 7th on the league table having garnered 19 points in 14 matches.
Maroons are winless in the last 14 games against Vipers SC having lost 8 games and drawn only 4.
