Pirates Feast on Heathens at Kyadondo in Uganda Rugby Premiership semifinal play off

Black pirates now have a foot in the finals of this year’s Rugby Premiership following their 12-17 away win against defending champions Heathens at Kyadondo today.

In what was a repeat of last year’s final, the record champions gave their home fans a worthy start with a Nickolas Kato try that was converted by Malcom Okello.

Pirates made the comeback with tries from Timothy Kisiga and Frank Kidega, both converted by William Nkore who also scored penalty before Heathens pulled one back with Shadon Munoko’s unconverted try.

“Our goal this year is to win the championship and losing this game would damage that.” Pirates’ match winner Nkore who also appeared to have injured his ankle but remained confident that he’d play next week according to the doctors.
