BUL FC player Simon Peter Oketch and Vipers SC head coach Roberto Oliviera have been voted the best player and coach respectively for the month of March at the Pilsner Uganda Premier League Awards.
The duo were awarded on Wednesday morning at Kati Kati Restaurant – taking home a plaque and Shs.1m.
Oketch scored three goals in five games in the month of March to beat off teammate Karim Ndugwa and Arua Hill forward Rashid Kawawa.
Meanwhile, Oliviera was voted best coach of March for guiding Vipers SC to three wins in three games.
Oliviera beat off competition from Arua Hill tactician Livingstone Mbabazi and URA’s Sam Timbe.
This is Oliviera’s second monthly award after winning his first in December.
At the same event, Trevor Mark Lutwama won the UPL fan of the month award for predicting the most correct results.
