Uganda has reached the finals of this year’s Africa Netball Cup after coming from behind to defeat Malawi 51:43 in the semis on Friday in Swakopmund.

The she Cranes had a false start, falling behind Namibia by 5goals at elthe end of the first quater. Uganda had a 7 point lead by the third quarter(39:32) and kept their momentum to the end.

They will now face South Africa’s SPAR Proteas who saw off Zimbabwe in the other semi final today, setting up the perfect final for the tournament.

Both finalists are the most successful in this realm, each being crowned champions thrice; Uganda in 2014, 2017 and 2018. South Africa in 2013, 2019 and 2021 which had a similar finals fixture to this year’s.

The winner of tomorrow’s final at the MTC dome in Namibia’s coastal city of Swakopmund will become the most successful team on the continent with 4 titles.
