Uganda middle distance runner Winnie Nanyondo has ended into the Women’s 1500m final at the Tokyo Olympis.
Nanyondo finished fourth in her heat in 4:01:64 to qualify for the final. Netherland’s Sifan Hassan won the heat clocking 4:00:23.
The final is scheduled for Friday, 6th August starting 3:30pm ( EAT).
Nanyondo earlier missed a place in the 800m final.
Joshua Cheptegei and Jacob Kiplimo won Uganda’s first medals at this year’s Olympic last week.
