With the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaching, FIFA is steadily building excitement with a series of reveals.

Fans have already seen the Official Mascots, the launch of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund (supported through every ticket sold), and news that more than 4.5 million fans from 216 countries entered the Visa Presale Draw.

Now, attention shifts to the latest unveiling: TRIONDA, the Official Match Ball of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

A Symbol of Unity

“Trionda” translates from Spanish as three waves, a nod to the first World Cup jointly hosted by three nations—Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised the launch:

“The Official Match Ball for the FIFA World Cup 26 is here and it’s a beauty! adidas have created another iconic ball, with a design that embodies the unity and passion of the host nations. I can’t wait to see this ball hit the back of the net.”

Design That Tells a Story

TRIONDA’s look captures the essence of the hosts:

Colours: Vibrant red, green, and blue to represent the three nations.

Panels: A new four-panel design shaped like flowing waves, with seams forming a central triangle to symbolize unity.

Icons: A maple leaf for Canada, an eagle for Mexico, and a star for the United States. Gold details highlight the World Cup Trophy.

Built for Performance

TRIONDA is more than just eye-catching—it’s engineered for the modern game:

Stability: Deeper seams improve flight consistency.

Control: Embossed icons enhance grip in all conditions.

Smart tech: A 500Hz motion sensor chip tracks every touch, providing real-time data to VAR for crucial decisions, including offsides.

Momentum to 2026

The unveiling of TRIONDA adds to the growing anticipation for the 23rd FIFA World Cup.

With qualifiers still underway in October and November, more nations will soon secure their places.

The spotlight then shifts to Washington, DC, where the Final Draw will be held on December 5, 2025.
