Nineteen best performers will be recognized by the Uganda Cricket Association for the 2024 at the awards’ gala ceremony.

The event is set to happen on Saturday 30th November at Copper Chimney in Lugogo, Kampala.

Riazat Ali Shah, Brain Masaba and Immaculate Nakisuuyi are set to battle for the Cricketer of the year award.

Riazat gets this Nomination weeks after being named Cricket Cranes Captain ahead of the ICC CWC Challenge League B where he put up a great display with a century against Tanzania and two half centuries against Italy and Hong Kong.

For Masaba, the skipper led Cricket Cranes to its first ever T20 World Cup in 2024, going on  to take Uganda’s first wicket at the World Cup against Afghanistan.

However Nakisuuyi on the other-side will look to battle the two men with a couple of achievements under her belt including including a half century against Zimbabwe A helping the Victoria Pearls to the opening game at the T20 Kwibuka Tournament in June 2024.

However earlier in May 2024, she had helped team Uganda put on some runs in the ICC T20 Global World Cup qualifier tournament that was held in Abu Dhabi despite fall short.
