Nabirye goal not enough to save Crested Cranes from Algeria

Uganda Senior Women Football National team, the Crested Cranes fell short to Algeria in their first Friendly game played Mustapha Tchaker Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Laura Taleb Muller gave the hosts the lead after only 14 minutes after a defensive lapse for the Cranes .

The Crested Cranes fought back, creating a number of scoring opportunities but all failed to turn into goals.

After the restart with a minute past the hour mark, Joan Nabirye leveled matters for Uganda.

This pushed the hosts who intensified their search for another goal and they managed to restore their lead 8 minutes later through Abdou Lea.

Uganda will lift their heads and return to the drawing board before they returns to face the same Algerian team on two days later (30th November) in a second consecutive International friendly match.
