As November drew to a close, the sun-drenched plains of Soroti seemed to embrace the visiting Mukono Cricket Community.

What began as a straightforward hard-ball Twenty20 tour quickly evolved into a journey filled with determination, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments—an experience that left a lasting impression on everyone involved.

Three sides—SCA A, SCA B, and the spirited Mukono Cricket Community team—took to the dusty pitches for six thrilling encounters that tested skill, focus, and resilience.

At the top of the table after 6 games, SCA A dominated, finishing unbeaten across three games with a perfect record and an impressive Net Run Rate of 3.0588.

SCA B showed remarkable tenacity, claiming two wins out of five in closely fought battles that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

Individual brilliance lit up the tournament. Joan Ilora’s 117 runs crowned her the batting standout, including a tournament-high score of 53.

Josephine Icumar added 70 for SCA A, while Mukono’s Hasifah Naula shone with 59. On the bowling front, Joyce Arugo led with eight wickets, and Rita Alio delivered a remarkable 4 for 5.

Mukono stars Martha Muhindo and Catherine Mbindule each captured five wickets, earning admiration and pride for their performances.

On behalf of the Mukono Cricket Community, I would like to sincerely thank the visionary leadership at Soroti Cricket Academy for welcoming us and hosting this tour.

We are also grateful to Mt. St. Henry’s High School for their unwavering support throughout, and to Madera School for kindly hosting our team.

We hope this tour lays the foundation for a lasting friendship with Soroti Cricket Academy.

While we may have lost a few games, the lessons learned and experiences gained are truly invaluable.

When the final ball was bowled and the Soroti sun dipped below the horizon, the Mukono team left with far more than match results.

They carried home new friendships, courage, and memories—sparks of inspiration that will fuel the dreams of Uganda’s next generation of cricket talent.
