In a groundbreaking development, the Mukono Cricket Community is visiting the Soroti Cricket Academy (SCA) for the first time.
This visit comes at a time when Mukono Cricket has been actively organizing tours; over the past two years, they have visited the Northerns Cricket Hub but were eager to explore a new destination.
Both teams have been preparing extensively.
The Mukono Cricket team underwent a 14-day training camp, while Soroti Cricket Academy has also been in intensive preparation.
Boarding the Mt. St. Henry’s School bus, the Mukono team departed for Soroti today.
At the time of this report, the team is safe and settled in Soroti, ready for their opening matches today.
The tour was initiated following discussions between the chairmen, Simon Kintu of Mukono and Felix Musana of Soroti, on a program designed to benefit female players.
We need playing time for our players, and we also aim to foster strong relationships with all cricket hubs as we continue to pursue excellence in sports and other fields

We had to go out of our way to mobilize resources for this memorable tour. It’s a great achievement for our academy, and we are happy to host the Mukono Cricket Community
For the tournament, Mukono Cricket Community will field one team, while Soroti Cricket Academy will compete with two squads: SCA-A and SCA-B.
Due to the difference in team numbers, Mukono will rotate players during the matches.
