Team VBL (Men) and Jinja Assassins (Ladies) were the winners of the Jinja Circuit of the ongoing Mountain Dew UG 3×3 Series that was held on Saturday 2nd November at the Jinja SS Basketball Court.
Jinja Assassins (Ladies team)
Team VBL comfortably beat Team DT 21-10 in the men’s final of the circuit while the Jinja Assassins beat Iganga Sharks 12-6 in the ladies” final.
A total of 17 teams competed in the Jinja circuit of the nationwide Mountain Dew UG 3×3 Series that was on it’s 3rd leg in Jinja.
Both Team VBL (men) and Jinja Assassins (ladies) automatically qualify for the National Finals that will be played on 7th December in Kampala joining Ntare PickUp (men) and Mbarara University Hooper’s (ladies) who qualified from Mbarara and Grim Reapers (men), Team Clan (men) and 3-Peat (ladies) who qualified from Kampala.
The Series next heads North for the Gulu Circuit that will be played on 9th November at Kaunda Ground.
A total of 7 circuits are being played across the country in:
– Kampala (Done)
– Mbarara (Done)
– Jinja(Done)
– Gulu – 9th November
– Kampala – 16th November
– Mbale – 23rd November
– Mukono – 30th November
Prize money at each circuit is UGX 400,000 for the winner and UGX 200,000 for the runner-up in both the men and ladies categories.
Prize money in the National Finals is UGX 2,000,000 for the Winner and UGX 1,000,000 for the Runner-Up for both the men and ladies categories.
