The Grim Reapers (Men) and 3PEAT (Ladies) were winners of the 1st Kampala Circuit of the Mountain Dew UG 3×3 Series that tipped off today Saturday 19th October at Makerere Pool Court.
3PEAT Women Basketball team.
The nationwide tournament that is organised by Red Rhino Sports saw Grim Reapers comfortably win the men’s category in a 7-4 triumph over Team Clan in a thrilling men’s finale.
While 3PEAT beat MUBS Elite 15-09 in the women’s final.
Both Grim Reapers and Team Clan qualified for the Finals in the Men’s Category while 3PEAT qualified from the Ladies Category.
The Mountain Dew UG 3×3 Series next heads west next weekend 26th October for the Mbarara Circuit.
A total of 7 circuits will be played in ;
– Kampala (x2)
– Mbarara
– Mukono
– Jinja
– Gulu
– Mbale
Prize money at each stop circuit is UGX 400,000 for the winner and UGX 200,000 for the runner-up in both the men and women’s categories.
Prize money in the Finals is UGX 2,000,000 for the Winner and UGX 1,000,000 for the RunnerUp.
