Mengo City is a good team but not against Park – Park FC Head Coach Alex Ssegawa

Mengo City FC and Park FC was expected to be the most exciting game and indeed it was but only for those who was at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena in Betpawa Futsal Super League.

The game started with Mengo City on top missing 5 chances in the opening half before Park FC getting back to punish them for being wastefull.

Mengo City coach Ismail Sendege speaking in post match acknowledged his side’s wastefulness;

“We would have won the game in first half but didn’t take our chances” he stated

“We have lost but sure will come back to work on our mistakes, in the game all things turn arround when we took off some of our experienced players” he continued

“This is a game that moves very fast so our players tried to hold on but our opponent utilized well that small space very well” Sendege concluded

It took 12 minutes for Park FC to appear and there was the turn arround of things when Joshua Aziku scored to put the Defending Champions in lead on 1-0 lead at half time.

Returning, second half was completely the end of Mengo City in the game after conceding 5 in only a space of of 8 minutes with Abas Muluya having a hat-trick in that space.

The other goals were scored by Michael Abura  who opened the second half scoring spree, Shafick Mulangira getting onto the sheet.

Mengo City through John Musasizi managed to pick a consolation just before Aziku came back and seal the day for Park FC.

In post match Park FC coach Alex Ssegawa commented on the game that;

“Mengo City is a good team but not against Park FC” he said

“We are here to take off our games and that is what we have done, it was a hard start but we made some few important changes and that is the big difference made by those changes” he added

This was the third time Mengo City fell short against Park FC in the last three games having lost 7-3 and 4-2 Last season against the formidable side.
