Mengo City managed to upset odds on Lubaga Grameen with a stunning performance which led them to a win at the Futsal Arena in Old Kampala on Friday evening.

Eight teams will battle in the quarterfinals of the 2024/25 Futsal Uganda Cup have been confirmed, with the final four Round of 16 matches played on Friday evening.
Joining Kisenyi FC, Fiyore SC, Park FC, and First Touch Sports in the last eight are Mengo Sportsmail Academy, Crown Lubiri, Motion Sports, and Kabuusu Clouds.
Round of 16 Highlights
Motion Sports, led by Marvin Ssenyonjo, secured a dominant 8-2 win over Entebbe Cheaters to book their place in the quarters. Ssenyonjo scored four of the eight goals, with Nasser Mwebe adding a brace.
Kabuusu Clouds also advanced with an impressive 7-1 victory over Busunju Spaks. Najib Muwonge’s hat trick led the way, with Tonny Ssemwogerere, Gadafi Bazanyanengo, and Julius Ssenoga each adding goals. Awama Muzaidi scored Spaks’ only goal.

Crown Lubiri came from behind to defeat Nansana ASKA 8-3 in a high-scoring clash. Ahmed Abdulkadir Hassan led the team with a hat trick, while Ibrahim Abdi Omar netted twice. Abdihamid Dahir Ahmed and Abukar Yusuf Kulane added to the tally. Jacob Opio scored all three goals for Nansana.
