Former KCCA goalkeeper Hassan Matovu has been officially unveiled by Uganda Premier League side Soltilo Bright Stars.
He joins the stars on a three-year employment contract.
Matovu left KCCA last week on Friday after agreeing to terminate his contract.
He featured for KCCA Soccer Academy in the FUFA Junior League and was promoted to the Kasasiro Boys senior team in 2019 but failed to cement a starting spot due to tight competition at the club.
He spent two seasons on loan at Proline FC and was in goal as Proline lifted the Stanbic Uganda Cup in 2019, saving a decisive spotkick against Bright Stars in Masaka.
That same season, he helped Proline gain topflight promotion and also featured in all Proline’s six CAF Confederation Cup games.
Matovu become the fourth player to be unveiled by Bright Stars after Meddie Kyeyune, Kazuto Kushida and Fiat Cleophas.
They have also promoted Shamuran Kamya and Issa Bugembe.
