KCCA FC has moved swiftly to fill the void left by Abdallah Mubiru, appointing Jackson Kaddu Magera as interim head coach following Mubiru’s dismissal after a turbulent spell at the club.
The decision to part ways with Mubiru was made during a board meeting held earlier today, just days after the team’s crushing 4-0 defeat to Kitara FC in Hoima, a result that appeared to be the final straw for the club’s leadership.

Despite being under contract until the end of the season, Mubiru’s tenure was cut short due to a string of underwhelming performances in the Uganda Premier League.
Mubiru, who did not attend the decisive meeting reportedly due to illness, saw his fate sealed regardless.
His short stint at the helm, marked by inconsistent results and mounting pressure from fans and management alike, ultimately failed to meet the expectations of the Kasasiro Boys’ faithful.
KCCA FC has turned to Magera, previously the second assistant coach, to stabilize the team while the club begins the search for a long term replacement.
Magera, no stranger to the club’s culture and structure, is expected to bring some continuity and calm as KCCA attempts to salvage the remainder of their campaign.
He will begin his interim role on Saturday, April 12, when KCCA hosts BUL FC at the MTN Philip Omondi Stadium, a critical fixture that could set the tone for the club’s remaining season under new temporary leadership.
