The Light Academy Alumni league season two continued on Sunday 20th, February with five fixtures at Ammars Sports Center in Bunga.
Starting off the day, Revolutionaries fought hard to earn their first victory this season as they narrowly overcame bottom-placed Chiklops 2-1.
Marena Muhammad got both of Revolutionaries goals while Chiklops’ consolation came from Opong Elijah.
With the victory, the Class of 2013 (Revolutionaries) jumped to seventh place on the log with three points in two games while Chiklops stayed bottom with no points collected in their first three games.
The second game of the day saw Bliss discipline Mad Things by four goals to one.
League topscorer Sserugunda Edward had a hat-trick while Marena Tahiru added the other for Bliss who now occupy top spot on the log with maximum 9 points from three games.
They are level on points with Legends who battled to beat Les Royals 2-1.
Legends had to finish the game a man-less after Godfrey Ssekitoleko was sent off for two bookable offenses.
Elsewhere, Galacticos defeated the league’s newest member, 2020 3-0 with Kagimu Nasser, Han Rashid and Amos Bwanika finding the back of the net.
Galacticos now occupy fifth position on the log with three points in two games while 2020 are a place below them with also three points.
The last game of the day saw Locusts come from three goals down to secure a 3-all stalemate with Hornets.
Samuel Mugabi, Mafabi Rashid and Watambala Brian had put the hornets three goals above, but Bakomeza Bosco netted once while Okwerede Joshua Epechu netted twice to secure a vital point for the locusts on the day.
With the point, Locusts move to third place on the log with 4 points garnered in 3 games.
For the Hornets, they move off the bottom of the log and now occupy tenth position with just a single point.
Action will resume on 6th March, 2022 with the match day four fixtures at the same venue.
