Today during a press conference at Legends the Kampala Old Boys Rugby Football Club (KOBs RFC) has unveiled its new team jersey, proudly supported by their sponsor, KCB Bank Uganda.
This milestone marks a significant moment in the ongoing partnership between the club and KCB Bank Uganda, highlighting their shared commitment to excellence both on and off the field.
The new jersey will be showcased as the team takes on the Black Pirates this weekend and this will be the beginning of a new era of collaboration and success for KOBs RFC
The unveiling was delayed due to a scheduling conflict with the league title sponsor, but the issue has now been resolved.
Adorned with KCB Bank Uganda’s distinctive branding, the new jersey symbolizes the strength, unity, and determination of the team as they embark on the 2025 season, which kicked off on January 11, 2025.
As KOBs continue their pursuit of titles, the new kit will serve as a powerful reminder of the partnership that drives their success.
This exciting launch follows the announcement of a generous second sponsorship package from KCB Bank Uganda, valued at UGX 195 million for the upcoming year.
Of this amount, UGX 50 million has been allocated specifically for kit procurement.
Professor Dr. Tonny Luggya Stone, Chairman of KCB-KOBs RFC, expressed his excitement about the new development:
“This new jersey represents more than just a uniform; it is a symbol of our team’s spirit, resilience, and the growing confidence KCB Bank Uganda has in KOBs RFC.
After just one year of partnership, we are grateful for their unwavering support and belief in our vision for the future of the club.”
Mrs. Diana Komukama Ssempebwa, Head of Marketing and Communications at KCB Bank Uganda, shared her enthusiasm as well:
“Our partnership with KOBs Rugby Football Club reflects our ongoing dedication to promoting sports development in Uganda.
We are proud to see our brand represented on the team’s new kit and look forward to celebrating their successes throughout the upcoming season.”
