- Police FC vs Kitara FC – Kavumba
Kitara FC will be looking to bounce back from a series of recent setbacks when they travel to Kavumba Recreational Grounds to face Police FC in the Uganda Premier League Match-Day 21 encounter.
After a difficult stretch, the Royals are determined to return to winning ways and have set their sights on securing maximum points from this match, which also serves as an opportunity for revenge after their loss to Police in the first leg.
Kitara FC, who were narrowly defeated 1-0 in the first leg by Police FC at home, view this match as an opportunity to avenge that defeat. Head coach Wasswa Bbosa is determined to steer his team back on course and is confident that the team can achieve victory at Kavumba.
“We lost to them at home in the first leg, but quite a number of things have gotten better for us since then. We are targeting to pick maximum points and we shall be going all out at Kavumba,” Bbosa stated ahead of the match.
Despite having a solid start to the season, Kitara FC has experienced some difficulty in their recent league outings, failing to secure maximum points in their last two matches. Their 1-1 draw with struggling Mbarara City was followed by another disappointing result, and the team is eager to shake off these setbacks.

However, they managed to bounce back with a 2-1 victory over Gaddafi FC in the Uganda Cup. The win has boosted the squad, and Bbosa’s men are looking to build on that momentum as they prepare for this important clash.
On the other hand, Police FC enters this match in strong form, having secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Express FC and a 1-0 win against Maroons, both away from home.
The Cops have an impressive record against Kitara, winning all three of their most recent league meetings with the Royals. They will be aiming to complete the double over Kitara after their narrow 1-0 victory in the first round of the season.

With their good recent form and their strong record against Kitara, Police FC will be confident of extending their winning run and further asserting their dominance in the league.
Kitara FC will face a few challenges in terms of team selection as they are missing several key players. Benjamin Nyakoojo remains sidelined with an injury, and Amos Etoju is unavailable due to suspension. Additionally, Rogers Mugisha and Marvin Nyanzi are both out due to injuries.
However, Kitara FC will be boosted by the return of several important players. Captain Maxwell Owachigiu, Dudu Ramadhan, Arthur Kiggundu, and David Kasaija are all set to rejoin the squad, adding much-needed experience and depth as the team looks to challenge Police FC.
This clash between Police FC and Kitara FC holds significant importance for both teams. While Police FC will be looking to maintain their strong form and complete the double over Kitara, the Royals are determined to right their recent wrongs and make a statement as they push for a strong finish in the league.
Kitara FC’s ability to recover from recent challenges and take advantage of the opportunity for revenge will be key in determining the outcome of this match. With both teams bringing their best to the table, this promises to be an exciting encounter in the Uganda Premier League.
